Pastoral Matters (Names are only included when permission has been given.)

  • Please keep those in need in your prayers – giving thanks for recovery and the support received, while continuing to pray for ongoing healing, adjustment to new limitations, and comfort for all who struggle in body, mind, heart or spirit.

Community and other Events

The Park Ramblers meet at 10.15am every Monday outside B&M for their weekly walk and chat around Ynysangharad Park. All are welcome to take part at their own pace or just join the walkers for coffee and cake at The Gatto Lounge around 11am.  If the weather is very bad they may just go straight for coffee and chat!!

Thursday 29 January – 7.30-9.00pm -Darul Isra Mosque, Cathays (CF42 4BG): We have received an invitation from the Darul Isra Mosque in Cathays, who are hosting an open, respectful discussion exploring anti-Semitism and anti-Muslim hatred. Led by Professor David Cohen and Sheikh Ibrahim, the focus isn’t on blame or politics, but on real, everyday experiences, how these issues show up in ordinary life, and how people can feel more confident recognising and addressing them when they do.

This event is open to all. No prior knowledge is needed, and no special attire is required. It’s designed to be accessible, conversational, and welcoming. Refreshments will be available throughout the evening👉 Register here: https://forms.gle/QGxZ9r8jTSUtRJtg9

Wednesday 18 February until Thursday 19 March 2026 – Ramadan at the USW, Chaplaincy. We have been contacted by Michelle Romaniw, Head of Chaplaincy Services at the University of South Wales to ask if any church members would be interested in volunteering to help serve and tidy up the break-fast meal to between 30-80 students every evening from about 5:30pm until 8pm – seven days a week.  You can volunteer just once or as many times as you would like.  If you are interested or would like any further details please contact Michelle on 01443 654060 or e mail [email protected].
