May Services

Services start at 10.45am unless otherwise stated. Services are also available online to view live, or afterwards. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC1ftWuXHexnfFdo1FKwXBZA

3 May – We welcome Maggie Kirkbride. Maggie is an Assembly Accredited Lay Preacher and Lay Preaching Advocate for the National Synod of Wales. We look forward to welcoming Maggie.

10 May – Our annual Christian Aid Service (see below). For the past few years we have welcomed a representative from Christian Aid to take part in our worship. This year is no different and we especially look forward to welcoming Ceri George who is no stranger to many of us. Ceri serves on the Christian Aid Cymru National Committee and will be talking to us about this year’s Christian Aid campaign along with members of the Justice & Peace Group.

17 May – We welcome Revd David Powell from High Street Baptist Church in Merthyr. We look forward to seeing David once again.

24 May – Communion Sunday. Revd Rob May who is Regional Minister with the South Wales Baptist Association will be leading worship. We always enjoy Rob’s reflections and this Sunday will be no different to be sure.

31 May – Revd David Salsbury. David is Moderator for the National Synod of Wales and while we know David well through his work as Moderator, this will be the first time he will be leading worship with us.

Christian Aid Week

We will not be having a Zoom service this month and instead we will be holding our annual Christian Aid service on Sunday 10 May. After the service, as usual, we will be serving cakes to enjoy with our tea or coffee. So, bake, buy or just eat some cakes! All funds raised will be donated to Christian Aid. We raised over £100 last year. Let’s see if we can raise even more this year.
