The last date for Colleen to take orders for personalised handmade Christmas cards is Sunday 30 November. From now on, if you would like any personalised cards made please give Colleen at least two weeks’ notice to make them. From 1 January 2026, the price of personalised cards will be £3.00. Non personalised cards will remain at £2.00 (large) and £1.50 (small). I’m sure you will agree that this is still excellent value for money. As always, all the money raised will continue to go towards church funds.

Pastoral Matters (Names are only included when permission has been given.)

  • On Thursday 4th December the funeral of Constance Monks will be held in the church at 1pm. Connie was a former member of Castle Square URC.
  • The Christmas Greetings Board will be in the hall. If you would like to, we suggest you write one card for all your church friends and attach it to one of the ribbons and give a donation to the charity of your choice.

Community Events

The Park Ramblers meet at 10.15am every Monday outside B&M for a walk around our beautiful park followed by coffee. They are currently trying to find the most suitable venue for coffee after the walk. They met at The Gatto Lounge on November 25. If any arrangements change, walkers will be notified by email of any changes. All are welcome to join at their own pace or just join for coffee around 11am.  If the weather is very bad they may just go straight for coffee!! What could be better than having a walk, a chat and a coffee to start the week off on a good note. 😊

On Monday 1 December  our weekly walk will be as usual and The Ramblers’ Christmas lunch will be held on Tuesday 2nd December at The Blueberry at 12.30pm. Please wear your Christmas Jumper if you have one and don’t forget to bring a pen so you can take part in the quiz!

Flourishing Nature, Flourishing People – We have been a member of A Rocha UK since 2019 and we are striving to be an ‘Eco Church’. At the service on Sunday 23 November, we learnt more about how we can achieve this. A Rocha UK has been selected to take part in this year’s Big Give Christmas Challenge! The theme is Flourishing Nature, Flourishing People. From 2nd-9th December, all gifts, up to £15K, will be doubled. Could you prayerfully consider helping nature and people to flourish through a Big Give gift? We have already received donations and collection plates will be in place until 7th December. If you prefer you can donate directly online https:// donate.biggive.org/campaign/a05WS000006WqHlYAK

PONT – The ‘BIG GIVE’ Christmas Challenge is between 2nd – 9th December.  All donations between these dates will be doubled, with the funds being used to support PONT health projects in Mbale, Uganda.
