Church Family and Pastoral News
We include this in the news sheet to inform our prayers.
- Sheila Greenstock has been suffering with vertigo for the last couple of weeks and still feels quite shaky
- We remember those in our fellowship who are awaiting the results of hospital tests
- We think of those who are living with pain caused by difficult health conditions.
- We think of Pam and her niece in our prayers in particular, as they remember Pam’s sister-in-law who died on Wednesday. She was a lovely lady and the family are all going to miss her.
- Val Stone’s funeral will take place at Glyntaff crematorium at 3:45pm on Friday 20th Please keep her family and friends in your prayers.
Birthdays
There a lot of birthdays this week! 15th May – Eli Bond; 16th May – Del Doyle; 17th May – Hywel Jones; 19th May – Madeline Howells; 20th May – Millie Owen. We hope you enjoy your special day however you choose to celebrate!
Thanks
from Ben…. to everyone who sent him birthday wishes and cards.
And Phil…who would like to thank all those who sent him birthday wishes in various ways. He is not so grateful to his colleague, who remarked at the ministers’ conference this week – “I’m worried about you, mate. You’re looking old.”!!!

Next Sunday 22nd May
10:45am – Phil will lead our morning worship which will include the celebration of Holy Communion
6pm – Storytelling Zoom Communion – You are invited to come along to this storytelling Communion, where we’ll share stories, anecdotes, maybe the odd poem, before reliving the story of Christ’s feast. This month’s theme is ‘Home’. So if you have a serious or silly story, a profound pondering or poetic parable about a home, your home, God’s home – or just want to come along and listen – you will be very welcome. The link to join the service is the usual one, below:

Newsletters and Sermons
A reminder that taking into account the environmental & financial cost of printing, now that we’re back to a regular diet of worship, we’re looking to reduce the number of newsletters/sermons we print out. We don’t want anyone to miss out so we will keep delivering to those at Castle Square, all those unable to come to church, and any others who let their courier know that they’d still like to receive a newsletter/sermon but will stop the others from June onwards.
