9th July 2023

We welcome everyone to our services today, either online or in person at St Davids.

We invite you to join us ‘in the square’ for our Zoom service when we get together before and after the service for informal chat.  The line will be open from 10.30am.

For those joining our Zoom service, Rev Ray Vincent will lead our worship and his theme today is ‘My yoke is easy and my burden is light’.

At 10.45 for those who prefer to meet in person Michael Howells will be leading the worship at St David’s,

Whichever service you choose to join we hope that you will feel the warmth of fellowship of friends.

Handmade cards will be on sale after the service, all proceeds go to Church funds.

Church Family and Pastoral News

We include this in the newsletter to inform our prayers during the week. This week we have received very little news, which is good, as they say “No news is good news”.

The news we have received is certainly good!

  • Especially for Renda who has been able to speak with her Mum and now knows that the sister they had lost touch with is safe. She has been through a lot and it has taken her weeks to get home.
  • We think of those who are concerned for the health of family members or close friends
  • While we give thanks for ‘good’ news and we remember those for whom news has not been so good, particularly those who are grieving and missing loved ones.
  • We remember those who ‘work’ every Sunday: the organists/pianists, the readers, those who control the Zoom service and Live streaming, or give a welcome at the door, or from the lectern, the coffee makers, the stewards and the readers.

Birthdays…..

There are three birthday’s that we are aware of this week, Valerie Henson and Mary Howells both on Thursday13th July and Ron Howells who will be celebrating on Saturday15th July.
