17th September 2023
Welcome everyone! Especially if you are a visitor or worshipping with us for the first time.
Today we celebrate Harvest, when members of the Justice & Peace group, will be leading our worship, using resources from the BMS (Baptist Missionary Society) World Mission ‘Days of Plenty’ campaign, which focuses on supporting farmers in Uganda.
We will bring our gifts for the local Foodbank and give monetary donations to the ‘Days of Plenty’ Appeal, Envelopes are at the back of the church.
Tea and coffee will be served in the hall following the service; we invite you to stay and catch up with friends. Handmade cards will also be on sale in the hall. All proceeds go to church funds.
Emergency Appeal
We are all aware of the devastation that has been wrought on the eastern city of Derna in Libya by Storm Daniel. The scenes in Libya are heartbreaking. Christian Aid has therefore launched an appeal to strengthen the support we can give through our partner, Dan Church Aid, to people who have lost their homes, livelihoods and loved ones. There is a collection plate for donations or you can donate on line at https://www.christianaid.org.uk/appeals/emergencies/libya-floods-appeal

Something to think about.
“Once you embrace unpleasant news not as a negative but as evidence of a need for change, you aren’t defeated by it.
You’re learning from it”.
Bill Gates (1999)
