Friday   – ‘Hidden now Heard’

Sara &WayneThe Annual lecture of Mencap Cymru was held on Friday …. when project officer Sara Pickard supported by the Director, Wayne Crocker, told us about her work with the aid of multimedia.

 

This was a truly amazing and inspirational evening with a lively Q & A session.

Wednesday –‘Human Library’ 

We joined the Romani Cultural and Arts Company for an evening of Gypsy, Roma, Traveller history. We had been invited to go along and have our opinions challenged, to indulge and share in stories that demonstrate a rich cultural heritage within Wales and beyond. There were films, story-telling and art & crafts that showcased the diversity of community, it was a fantastic evening.

An extra ‘event’PC Graham

 

Following the ‘Human Library’ PC Graham spoke about Hate Crime Awareness.

He was interviewed by a Student from  University of South Wales

 

Saturday – Cantorion Pontyclun Ladies Choir

We were entertained during our weekly coffee bar by the ladies. It was a fantastic morning , with an unexpected highlight singing Circle of Life with Glamorgan Youth Choir & moving talk by the Beverley Humphreys.
