St David’s Uniting Church Monthly Magazine – November 2025

What happened in October

The Open the Book Team visited Coed y Lan Primary on 9th October. The children were delighted to see them.  They shared the story ‘Creation’ helped by Year 4/5.

Elders met on 12th October, Safeguarding Training was discussed.

Our Harvest service was held on Sunday 26 October and was led by Ray. We will continue to support the Foodbank with financial donations.

What’s happening in November

Language classes are held on Monday mornings at 10am in the Hall.

St David’s Guild is held at the Museum on Wednesdays at 2pm.  Marilyn Leach has once again booked a variety of interesting speakers for this month.  All are welcome to experience the pleasure and joy of this mid-week fellowship. Refreshments are always served.

An evening of Reflection on Gaza – Saturday 1 November from 6-8pm the Dar Ul Isra Mosque, Wyverne Road, Cathays, Cardiff CF24 4BG, warmly invites you to an evening of medical testimony, reflection and insight with surgeons and doctors who have been on the ground supporting communities in Gaza. This is a unique opportunity to hear first-hand experiences and better understand the humanitarian situation.

On Thursday 13th November there will be a ‘Gig for Gaza’, featuring talented local musicians and singers coming together in solidarity for Gaza. This will take place at St German’s Church, Cardiff. Building a Stronger, More Peaceful Future – Thursday 20th November – 7.00– 8:30pm – An evening of listening, reflection, community solidarity and a celebration of friendship across faiths in Interfaith Week 2025 organised by the Interfaith Council for Wales with food prepared by the Hindu community. The Church Meeting will be held after the service at 12 noon on Sunday 30th November. Items on the agenda will include new members, donations from the Copper Pot, Fund Raising.
