Community Saints

Over the past few years, many people in Pontypridd have gone out of their way to help others. We want to recognise these ‘Community Saints’ who have followed our patron saint, St David’s advice to ‘do the little things’ – or sometimes big things. This could include people who’ve helped others during the pandemic, the floods or some other time.

We are inviting the people of Pontypridd to nominate a person or a group who they would like to recognise as going over and above to help others. The nomination form is available below:

God Bless the NHS – Duw a Fendithia’r GIG: events to celebrate the 70th birthday of the NHS on 5th July 2018

Among the events are:

Saturday 14th July – a celebration at St. David’s Uniting Church in Pontypridd with the Tredegar Town Band and Beverley Humphreys – come and join the party!

7th July to 17th July – God Bless the NHS  Walk from North to South Wales

Voices – Lleisiau: exhibition, events, talks, screenings and concerts –

Saturday October 3rd – Wednesday 4th November 2015

‘An exploration of people, prejudice and protest’ –

“Let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.” Amos 5:24

St. David’s Uniting Church is hosting the Let Paul Robeson Sing exhibition and using it as a springboard to discuss and denounce all forms of prejudice and discrimination. Through our accompanying program of events we shall challenge injustice, celebrate the creativity of our community and remind everyone that they are extravagantly and unconditionally loved by God.

Picturing Ponty – Llunio Ein Lle: Photography competition to show Pontypridd as seen by the people who live here – culminating in an exhibition in March 2014.
