20th October 2024

We welcome you all to our services today, especially if you are a visitor or worshipping with us for the first time. Welcome also to those who are joining us remotely.

Our good friend Haydn Blackey is leading our services today and we pray that, through his ministry, we may all receive the blessing that we most need.

Fair-traded refreshments will be served in the hall following the morning service. We invite you to join us for this time of informal fellowship and take time to look at the handmade cards which are on sale.

Wednesday October 23rd

Last week two members of the Samaritan organisation gave a very interesting talk about their charity work. They listen to people who have found the way forward very difficult. What is a priority is that they are not judgemental and provide people with ways to cope.

This week Dr Daryl Leeworthy will be giving a talk about Elaine Morgan who was born in Hopkinstown, and lived in Mountain Ash. He has written a biography of her life as a ground – breaking TV writer and anthropologist.

Thought for the Week

Believe you can, and you can. Belief is one of the most powerful of all problem dissolvers.

When you believe that a problem can be overcome, you are more than halfway to victory over it already.

Norman Vincent  (1898-1993)
