We welcome you all to our services today, the first Sunday in Advent as share God’s news with everyone in our Amnesty International Service, this morning, which is being led by Rev Ray Vincent and the Justice and Peace group and our Iona Advent Service with Holy Communion at 6pm this Evening.
Today is also World Aids Day- Ribbons are available. Please support it!
Tea and coffee will be served in the hall following the morning service, and the hand-made Christmas cards will be on sale, please join us for this time of informal fellowship.
Before you leave, please remember the Copper pot, and put your spare coppers in it. They will be put to good use by local charities.

This Week and in the future
Birds will be the topic of this week’s guest at Ladies Guild! In particular swifts as the title of RSPB’s Alan Rosney talk is ‘Swifts are in trouble’.
You are reminded that the balance for our Christmas meal is due.
We meet in the Victoria room at 2pm.
The ‘Believe in Bethlehem’ and ’12 Faces of Hope’ Exhibition including a display of international Nativity sets will be open to the public every Wednesday in December, 12:30 – 1:30
The PONT Christmas Concert featuring the Pontypridd Community Choir and the award winning school choir of YGG Llwyncelyn is at Temple Baptist Church at 7.30pm on Thursday 5th December. Tickets at the door: £5 Adults £3 Children.
Have you chosen your favourite carol or reading for our Morning service on Sunday December 29th yet? A service of Carols and Lessons is being planned; Michael, Bethan and Pam are waiting to receive your choices or suggestions! Please don’t leave it too late….they need to start planning!
Our Anniversary lunch will be held on 12th January the Heritage Park.
The deposit has been paid and the booking confirmed! The sign -up sheet will be on the table again next week!

Notices
As we start to receive Christmas cards, please remember to save the postage stamps and put them in the box, they will then be recycled to raise funds for Amnesty International.
Gift Sunday. This year we are supporting Displaced People in Action (DPIA) as our local charity, and Chora Chori, which helps Nepalese displaced and trafficked children, as our International charity. (pick up a leaflet to learn more!)Envelopes are available and donations can be gift aided.
Also gifts (NOT wrapped) will be received for disadvantaged children and teenagers supported by HomeStart and for the residents at Mill Street Hostel.
Between 1 April 2018 and 31 March 2019, the Trussell Trust’s food bank network distributed 113,373 3-day emergency food parcels in Wales. We were challenged to beat our October figure and we did it! In November YOU contributed and amazing 53.6kg of food and donated £185 in cash. THANKYOU! With Food Banks are braced for the busiest Christmas ever let’s see if we can do it again!
The Greetings Board and card sorter will be in place next week. If you would like to, we suggest you write one card for all your church friends and pin it on the board and give a donation to the charity of your choice. Please use the card sorter and don’t forget to check for ‘your’ mail.
PCW annual appeal towards mission and outreach work at home and overseas are now due. Please give to Lynda Bull TODAY.
