We give a warm welcome to all who share worship with us today, as we celebrate the 100th anniversary of the ordination of Constance Coltman, the first woman to be ordained in a Trinitarian church in the UK. We will also conclude our series on Christianity and mental health.
We will celebrate the Lord’s Supper during the service when all are invited to share in the bread and wine.
This evening’s service will be a ‘Bring & Share’ informal praise.
Tea and coffee will be served in the hall following the morning service, and handmade cards will be on sale, please join us for this time of informal fellowship.
As always the Copper pot is on the table at the back of the church waiting for your coppers.
Hymns: 467 Tell out, my soul!
He comes to us as one unknown.
We, Your children run to you
83 To the lost Christ shows his face
Reading: Psalm 51;
One of the St. David’s Uniting family, written this week.”
I sought counsel from a man of god today
My depression has filled my mind to the brim
I have no room for Jesus
Like a break up splits your heart
This illness has split my brain
One side rational
The other cruel, without compassion…..and the much larger of the two
One side consuming the other
Bingeing on my remaining contentment
Like David, Hannah and Elijah before me I can’t hear or feel God
intrusive thoughts screaming in my mind and numbing my receptors
The usual holy love filled quiet is for now just….silent

This Weekend 5 years ago!!
This morning the Rev. Vaughan Rees, who we’re fortunate to have as our Interim Moderator, will be presiding for the induction service for Rev Dan Chambers, when we will enter into covenant with Dan and officially welcome him and his family into our fold. Though it’s the morning after Tango with Death, we hope whoever is still alive is able to share in the morning service when we will also celebrate communion, with Vaughan and Dan presiding.
‘Tango with Death’ was a Murder Mystery evening which included a three course meal.
We also share the news that has been posted on Facebook that Dan is now officially a Canadian Citizen.
