We give a warm welcome to all who share worship with us today, especially if you are a visitor or worshipping with us for the first time, We pray for us all a time of rich blessing, but also of challenge, as our minister leads our morning service.
This afternoon at 4pm is our monthly Film & Chat Event.
Fairtrade tea and coffee will be served following the morning service and cards will also be on sale.
As always the Copper pot is on the table at the back of the church waiting for your coppers, which will eventually benefit local charities

Sunday Phil will lead our Family worship at 10.45, which will include Communion and our evening worship at 6pm will be led by Alan Hills.
Church Family News
Dave Skym has been in hospital: we pray for him and Sue as she continues to care for him. We remember also, Loreen & Ken, Caroline, Brian, Roger, Enid, and Barbara Walkling,
There are others known to us who are unwell or who have had hospital appointments recently. We pray for their well being.
We rejoice with Pat Carpenter on the safe arrival last week of twins (a boy and girl) to her granddaughter.
Exam time! Congratulations to those we missed last week, Stephanie & Alan’s granddaughter, Lauren who had excellent results and is off to Essex to study Law, Janet Bayliss’s granddaughter Holly did well in her GCSE’s and is continuing her studies at Coleg y Cymoedd.

Soroptimist International Pontypridd and District will host a Musical Evening at St David’s Uniting Church with Cor Meibion Pontyrpidd and Hipsynch Belly Dance. The evening starts at 7.30pm Admission £5 In aid of Bangla Cymru. Tickets are available from Madeline.
Sunday 18th September Harvest
This year’s Harvest offertory will be donated to Baptist World Mission harvest appeal ‘Syria’s Forgotten Families’. Food items will be given to the foodbank.
We will be living out the table fellowship of the gospel by sharing a meal with one another and with our new friends from Syria who are joining us for our Bring and Share Harvest Lunch. DONT FORGET TO SIGN UP.
Will those who have already signed up please indicate what food item they will be providing. We would like a good range of vegetarian dishes.
Wednesday 21st September Welcoming Students
The Chaplaincy is holding a Service for the Beginning of the Academic Year in the Forum at the Meeting House at 6.00 pm. We would encourage members and friends of all local churches to join us.
This is an opportunity for the churches to gather in support of the Chaplaincy and pray for God’s blessing on its work during the coming year. The preacher this year will be the Revd Dr Phil Wall. You are invited to stay afterwards for refreshments and fellowship.

Wednesday 28th September Ladies Guild
First Ladies Guild of the season at 2pm, we will begin meeting weekly again when Phil shares some thoughts about his adventures in Brazil.
We have some excellent speakers booked; the Diary is on the table.
Monday 10th October ‘The Great Spiritual Migration:
Re-imagining a Faith that will Save Us’ – an invitation by Brian McLaren to join a movement that can shift the direction of Christian faith to be more in sync with its founder, more life-giving for individual Christians and congregations, and more of a just, generous, and joyful resource for the whole world. The venue is City United Reformed Church, Windsor Place, Cardiff at 7.30pm. Tickets £10
November 5th to 12th Wales for Peace Exhibition
Volunteers will be required to man the Wales for Peace Exhibition which will be officially opened in Church on Saturday, 5th November at 11am and will finish on November 13th with a Remembrance Service. The exhibition will last for just over a week and will run from 10am to 4pm every day and 6-8pm on Wednesday. Sign up sheets for volunteers will be put out at the beginning of October.
Harvest season celebrations
Our evening service on 2nd October will be a ‘Harvest Praise’. Please let Phil know if you have a favourite harvest hymn, poem, painting or reading that you would like to share.
