30 October 2016
We extend a warm welcome to everyone who joins us for worship this morning; we especially welcome people from ‘Kid’s Club’ who have prepared this ‘Kid’s Club Peace Service’.
We pray for us all a time of rich blessing, but also of challenge, as they lead us in our worship.
As this is the fifth Sunday there is no Evening Worship
Fairtrade tea and coffee will be served after this morning’s service; please take this opportunity to enjoy some light refreshments with friends.
Before you leave, remember the Copper pot, and put your spare coppers in it. They will be put to good use by local charities.

Dates for your Diary

Saturday 5th November ‘Belief and action’
At 11am we will be holding a launch event for our ‘Belief and Action’ exhibition which reveals the fascinating history of peace activism in Wales. All are most welcome to attend. Then, in the week following, if anyone could spare an hour or two to staff the exhibition (to sit in the church whilst the exhibition is on) then do please sign up at the back as this is a great opportunity to welcome people into our building and encourage them to reflect on how our beliefs might impact upon our actions. Feel free to bring a book – or a friend!
Saturday 5th November Fireworks
The grounds of Church House will be open giving people of the community the opportunity to view the fireworks; hot drinks will also be provided. The display is due to start at 7pm
Sunday 13th November Additional Church Meeting
We will be holding an additional church meeting immediately following worship in order to make a financial decision regarding the roof that needs church meeting’s approval. It is not expected to last more than 5 minutes.
Sunday 13th November : 4 – 7pm. Film and Chat
For our next film & discussion afternoon, we will be watching an Oscar-nominated Welsh language drama as part of our ‘Belief and Action’ exhibition.

Pastoral Friends
If you’ve got the time to offer a listening ear, a watchful eye, a coffee or perhaps a cwtch to someone who might appreciate it from time to time, then please head to the Victoria Room after this morning’s service for a 5 minute chat about how you could be a pastoral friend.
Serving the Church
What’s stopping you from volunteering to help every once in a while at the Saturday Coffee Bar or with the post-service coffee on a Sunday morning or to lead the prayers of intercession (with help from Phil and/or by reading pre-written prayers if preferred)? Nothing? Good! The sign-up sheets are at the back!
