Welcome to this year’s harvest thanksgiving service. If you are a worshiping with us for the first time you are especially welcome.
Our food donations will be going to the local food bank whilst this year’s harvest offering will support The Baptist Missionary Society’s South Sudan’s Conflict Survivors Appeal, envelopes are available at the back of the church.
This afternoon at 4pm we will meet for our monthly ‘Film and Chat’, see This Week….
Fairtrade coffee and tea will be served in the hall after this morning’s service and all are welcome to join in this time of informal fellowship.
Homemade cards will be on sale in the hall, if you would like a card for a special occasion, just ask Colleen
The Copper Pot is, as usual, on the table; don’t take your ‘small change’ home with you, put it in the pot, where it will be used for local charities.

Church Family and Pastoral News
We include this in the news sheet to inform our prayers.
- We remember the family of Anita (Nita) as they prepare for her funeral at 11:15amon Tuesday 22nd October at Glyntaff, when we will share our thanks for her life and blessing to our community. This will be followed by a reception at Ynysybwl Rugby Club where we can share our memories. Nita was a faithful and enthusiastic member of the Church and Ladies Guild and will be greatly missed, we will remember her with love every time we say ‘The Grace’ – Nita style.
- We continue to remember Claire and Rob and others who are receiving treatment or having tests for serious illnesses
- We think of Jo and Dave as they settle into their new home in Tonteg and look forward to them worshipping with us soon.
- We give thanks for ‘good’ news and we remember those for whom news has not been so good.
- There are several people who are unable to worship with us because of illness or family responsibilities. A phone call or visit would let them know they are not forgotten!
- Those who are sharing their ministry elsewhere: Ray at Castle Square this morning.

As you know the over 60’s bus passes need to be renewed by December 31! The quickest way to do this is ‘on-line’. If you are willing to keep your ‘old’ photo all you need to have is your Current Bus Pass, your date of birth, and your post Code. It will only take a few minutes. Speak to Marcia.
There will also be drop in session locally – dates and venues will be given next week.
In September 16.3kg food items were placed in the boxes and Alan received £70 cash. Today many will donate as it is Harvest – please remember the boxes are there all the year and the need is great. ‘Shopping Lists’ are available on the back table with suggestions.
