Welcome everyone to our services today! If you are a visitor or worshiping with us for the first time, we hope you will feel the warmth of our welcome and return soon.
We welcome also Phil George of Canton Uniting Church, who is leading this morning’s service as ‘our’ Phil is at URC Mission Council.
The service will include communion, and ALL are welcome to share it.
Our Film and chat at 4pm this afternoon will see us continuing our reflections on war and peace as we watch and discuss a drama based on real espionage that took place in the UK for Russia in the shadow of the Second World War. Cert. 12A.
Fair-traded Coffee and tea will be served in the hall after this morning’s service and hand-made Christmas cards will be on sale.
Our ‘Copper Pot’ is on the table waiting for your ‘small change’, the money is donated to ‘local’ charities;

‘Believe in Bethlehem’ Coffee Morning and Exhibition ~30th November 10-12:30am. Jesus was born to an oppressed people in an occupied land. Come hear Rev. Branwen Rees give a 10-minute talk on her experience in Palestine/Israel at around 12 noon. Donations for tea/coffee to go to EMBRACE the Middle East, tackling poverty and injustice.
The ’12 Faces of Hope’ exhibition will be available to be seen in the church every Wednesday in December, 12:30 – 1:30

On Sunday December 29th we are repeating the format of the Carols and Lessons service, that was so successful last year. If anyone has a request for a favourite carol or reading please speak to Michael, Bethan or Pam. We are giving people time to think!
We have received a letter from Dan and family in New Zealand… he says ‘My Facebook page has been constantly reminding me over the last few months that “1 year ago” we were having a blast among you all in the lovely Wales. It is hard to believe it has been that long – the memories are still close’. The letter is on the table for all to read…copies are available from Lynda.
Our Harvest Appeal for BMS South Sudan Conflict Survivors raised £496.50 plus £80 through gift aid. Thanks to all who gave.

With just over 5 weeks to Christmas and thoughts of Christmas dinners, please, when you are shopping this week remember those who will struggle to put food on the table and pick up an extra item or two for the food bank.
