20 April 2014
Welcome, everyone who joins us for worship on this glad day. We pray that, with Simon leading us, we may all know the joy of Christ’s risen presence and go on our way rejoicing.
We give a special welcome to our ‘guest’ preacher this morning, The Moderator of URC Wales Synod, Rev Simon Walkling.
We also welcome Amelia and Ashley Bond and their family as they bring their son Eli to be baptised.
This morning’s service will include the celebration of the Lord’s Supper and we invite all to share in the bread and wine with us.
This evening we will ‘Walk and Worship in Graigwen’ – Meeting at Church House at 5.30 to walk, then returning to share Communion at approx 6pm.
Fair-trade tea and coffee will be served after this morning’s service; we invite you to enjoy some light refreshments in the company of friends.
Please remember the Copper Pot, and put your loose change in it before you leave, it will be used to benefit local charities.

Church Family News
We rejoice with Alma on the news that her grandson Rhodri, who volunteers at Hospital Radio Reading, has won the National Male Presenter of the Year 2014 Silver award. The judges said: “It was the variety of material that first caught our attention. A presenter who sounds like he’s having fun, and who’s aim appears to be cheering up the patients listening to him – he certainly takes them away from the hospital environment, if only for a short time.”
Chris is making slow progress and is now in a side ward, much more restful for her, she greatly appreciates our thoughts.
We know of many others who value our prayers as they live with pain or cope with difficult situations.

Thought for the Week
The more you chatter on endlessly,
The more likely you are to say something you shouldn’t.
Sometimes, the wisest thing you can do is say nothing
