We welcome you all to worship today, if you are a visitor, or worshipping with us for the first time we hope you will return again..
We are especially pleased today to welcome Phil Wall, who is visiting us with the view to becoming ‘our’ Minister as part of a shared ministry with Castle Square URC, Treforest.
This evening’s service at 6pm will be led by Rev Ray Vincent.
Following this morning’s service we will share lunch in the hall and then return to the sanctuary, when ALL will have an opportunity to listen to Phil and ask questions. Phil will then travel to Treforest to lead worship at Castle Square and share time with them.
As always the Copper pot is on the table at the back of the church waiting for your coppers, which will eventually benefit local charities

We ask you to remember Madeline & Ron’s daughter, Helen, who has not been well following the birth of her third child and Marilyn Leach as she copes with the after effects of her cataract operation.
We continue to keep Lyn, Mike, Ruth & their families in our prayers following Grahams death.
We also remember those who live with illness and disabilities which cause pain and discomfort and we rejoice with those who have had good news from hospital tests.

More News from the Church Meeting
At the Church Meeting we were asked. ‘Are you Willing to Help in Worship:’ It would be good from time to time to have a list of people who would be interested in getting a group together to be part of a worship group for one particular service. It was decided to produce a proforma checklist of ideas of things that people may like to help with. It would need someone to be responsible for leading the group.
A questionnaire is on the table – if you are interested please complete and return to Marcia
Names today please!
It was agreed at the Church Meeting that a group to consider Eldership should be set up. It will consist of 5 people, two elders and three non-elders. We also felt that the non-elders should preferably be people who do not anticipate standing for eldership in the foreseeable future.
Please offer your suggestions to Vaughan, Marcia or Lynda today and we will agree the group at the Church Meeting on Monday 9th
Chris Fennell is once again selling crocheted Santa badges to raise funds for Alzheimer’s Research.
The Greetings Board is in place – you are invited to ‘post’ a single card to all your friends in church and give a donation to Charity. For those who wish to send individual cards the card sorter is also in place in the porch. Please remember to check if there are cards for you or people who are unable to worship with us, that you can deliver to.
As we start to receive Christmas cards, please remember to save the postage stamps and put them in the box, they will then be recycled to raise funds for Amnesty International.
Picturing Ponty / Llunio ein Lle
An item was in the Pontypridd Observer – a copy is on the table.
Don’t forget – please get involved, either take a photo, or look up an old one, send it in via the web site www.Picturing Ponty.org.uk (help available to anyone not familiar with uploading via the Internet). The greater the variety of photographs, the more interesting the exhibition will be, aim for the unusual, or even the not so pretty aspects of our community, or even an unfamiliar angle of a familiar scene. Our exhibition will run from 15th to 29th March, please make a note of these dates in your diaries.
