We welcome everyone who joins us for worship today. If you are a visitor or worshipping with us for the first time you are especially welcome.
Iestyn is leading our morning worship as Phil is leading his first service at Castle Square.
Phil will lead our evening service which will include the celebration of the Lord’s Supper..
Tea and coffee will be served in the hall following the morning service; the monthly traidcraft stall will be open and hand made cards will be on sale.
Before you leave today, pleased put your spare coppers in the Copper pot and they will benefit local charities.

News of former Students
We are pleased to learn that Rachel Compton, who worshiped with us was married on August 10th. Congratulations were sent to her via Facebook.
Those who remember Gwen (the Clarinet) will be delighted to know that she gave birth to a daughter – Abigail Elizabeth – on 30th August.
We remember the following in our prayers: Ben, as he starts his first term at University and Sioned and Kate as they prepare; Ann, as she starts treatment this week, all who are unable to join us for worship, especially Brenda and Olwen;

Dates for your Diary
Friday 12 September PONT Biannual Conference
The conference is being held at the University of South Wales – room GT 7119, Aneurin Bevan Building at the Glyntaff Campus from 4.30pm -9pm.
The Keynote speaker will be Owen Smith MP, Shadow Secretary of State for Wales. Come when you can and leave if you must!
Monday 15 September Blood Donors
The need for blood donors is always great. The current campaign features young mothers who would not have survived pregnancy without receiving blood. Donor sessions will be held at the Rugby Club, Sardis Road from 10am-12.30pm & 2pm-4.20pm.
Thursday 18 September Concert
A Concert featuring the Tenovus ‘Sing with Us’ Choir plus soloists is being held to raise funds for work needed in the church, especially the kitchen! More details and tickets will be available next week.
Thursday 25 September Church search and Dessert!
An event to welcome new and returning students will be held at the chaplaincy between 7pm – 9pm. Please can we have volunteers to make desserts and to attend; Names to Marcia or Phil.
Thursday 25 September Justice & Peace
An evening in the Victoria Room starting at 7.30pm, with Mick Antoniw AM who will speak about the issues of Trident and the Nuclear Arsenal.

Minister’s Diary
As part of our ‘Sharing Agreement’, Phil will spend Tuesdays and the first Sunday morning of the month at Castle Sq. He will take Friday as his ‘Day Off’ – we ask everyone to respect this, unless it is urgent. Your Elder should always be available.
The ’Muni’ needs you!
There is an ‘Open Consultation Day’ at the Muni on September 10th from 3pm – 8pm, we are invited to go along and say what we would like to do.
