Welcome, everyone who joins us for worship today, as we begin the week of Prayer for Christian Unity. If you are a visitor, or worshipping with us for the first time, we pray that you and all of us will receive the blessing we most need.
This morning’s service will be led by Rev Peter Noble, chaplain of the Lightship in Cardiff Bay. We have been waiting a long time for this promised visit! Welcome Peter! This evening at 6pm we will join other PCT Churches at Capel Rhondda to mark the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity.
Following the morning service tea and Coffee will be served in the hall and handmade cards will also be available. All are invited to share in this time of informal fellowship.
Please put your ‘small change’ in the Copper Pot before you leave. It will benefit local charities instead of wearing your pockets out.

This week we will have a chance to find out as Rev Vaughan Rees will be joining us as our guest speaker. All are welcome to join us at 2pm in the Victoria Room. Thursday 3rd to Sunday 6th July. URC General Assembly The General Assembly will be held at St. David’s Hall, Cardiff. For the General Assembly to run as smoothly as possible, they need people from local churches to help in two ways: 1. As Stewards: to direct people, respond to questions, hand out printed materials and generally be available. As people and arrive and leave, most stewards will need to be on their feet; outside those times there will be quieter periods to sit. 2. As Intercessors: to pray for the Assembly from within the Assembly at each session. This will take the form of quiet private prayers; not spoken public prayers. Seating within the Assembly will be provided for intercessors. The sessions are from 8.30-13.00 and 13.00-18.30 Unfortunately, travel expenses are not available for stewards and intercessors, but refreshments (including lunch) will be available. Can YOU help? Give your name and time you are available to Marcia.

Notices Christmas Appeal 2013 The final figure is £615 of which £405 was gift aided. This will be shared equally between the women of Afghanistan and Women’s Aid in Pontypridd. Thank you everyone. Picturing Ponty/Llunio ein lle Please put the dates 15th to 29th March firmly in your diaries for the forthcoming photographic exhibition, if you haven’t yet submitted your photos you still have time before the deadline. We hope to have plenty of photos from church members to give us a rounded view of the good and not so good aspects of our community. We intend that the exhibition should be open to the public during the fortnight at selected times and are putting together a timetable which will be placed at the rear of the church. We need to ensure that thee are at least two people overseeing the exhibition when open to the public. We do need significant help to make this happen and would be very grateful if anyone who felt able to help would sign this timetable indicating a time/times which may be convenient. Photographs can be uploaded by following the instructions on the web site www.picturingponty.org.uk if anyone needs help in doing this ask Catherine, Fiona, Ben, James or Pam.
