We offer a warm welcome to all who join us today, the third Sunday of Advent, as we prepare to celebrate the Birth of Christ and bring gifts for those in need.
This morning is an ‘Amnesty Awareness’ service and we will also celebrate the Lord’s Supper, when all are invited to share in the bread and wine with us.
We are very pleased that Rev Ray Vincent will once again be leading our evening worship. Thankyou Ray!
Before you leave, remember the Copper pot, and put your spare coppers in it. They will be put to good use by local charities.

Sunday December 22nd 4th Sunday in Advent
The Junior Church’s theme for the ‘Nativity’ service will be based on ‘Do not be afraid’. The evening service when we will be joined by members from St Catherine’s, Temple and Elim, will consider the various outreach things that Pontypridd Churches are doing, in words and in carols. Refreshments will be served following the evening service.
Anne Hill will continue to accept our monetary gifts which will go to the women of Afghanistan and Women’s Aid in Pontypridd. Envelopes and Gift Aid forms are available. Please give as you are able.
The Greetings Board is in place – you are invited to ‘post’ a single card to all your friends in church and give a donation to Charity. For those who wish to send individual cards the card sorter is also in place in the porch. Please remember to check if there are cards for you or people who are unable to worship with us which you can deliver.
Could YOU be a volunteer with Cwm Taf Health ?
Have you ever been to hospital? Were you bored – day too long? Were you lonely, worried and anxious? Too much time to think, no one to tell? Concerned about things at home, family problems, but didn’t want to bother your visitors? Needing to pray but couldn’t concentrate?
So how about you? Could you give some time to learn how to come alongside people in hospital. (More details on the notice board)
Visiting the Elderly
The Spiritual Care Department at Cwm Taf is keen to recruit volunteers to visit the elderly and help with a project called, ‘This is Me.’ This project aims to record information that is important in the lives of the elderly whose memory is not what it was. (more details on the notice board)
Don’t forget to save the stamps from your mail. Cut around the stamps, leaving a 5mm border.
Church Web Site
Have you visited our web site? If you have – what do you think of it?
We want to know! Should we change anything? – Please tell us.
What would YOU like to read / see on in? It is still a new site and we would value ALL contributions, thought and ideas.
