11 January 2015
We welcome all who join us today, either at Church House this morning or at our first ‘film & chat’ event in Church which will commence at 4pm. Phil will lead our morning service and will also be ‘in the chair’ this evening.
We ask for God’s blessing on him and us as we join together in fellowship.
If you are a visitor or worshipping with us for the first time, we invite you to join us in a time of informal fellowship over a cup of tea or coffee following the morning service.

Church Family News
We are delighted to report that Adrienne came home from hospital on Wednesday and is coping quite well.
We continue to pray for Simon’s Dad, Cliff, and the family: Cliff is still very poorly but there is some improvement
We remember our ‘young people’ who have been ‘home’ for Christmas and have returned now to work or university. It was great to see them and we look forward to them sharing fellowship with us soon.

Dates for your Diary
Wednesday 14th January Ladies Guild
The diary says ‘Memories (Atgofion) –performing arts’ as the subject , with Julie Evans as the guest speaker. So we invite you to come along and discover what the memories are! We will meet at 2pm in the Victoria room.
Sunday 18th January Church Anniversary
Come and Celebrate – Following the service we are invited to join in a ‘bring and share’ lunch. A list of suggested food is on the table; please put your name on the ‘Anniversary Lunch’ list so that we know how many tables to make up.
Sunday 8th February Church Meeting
Please note the date in your diaries. We normally have a meeting in January, but we are mindful that colder weather and darker nights are not good for older people. More information will be given next week.

Notices
Church Anniversary Gift Day
At the last Church Meeting it was agreed to have a gift day for the kitchen on our anniversary Sunday, January 18th. We have been awarded a grant of £5,000 but need at least another £30,000. Gift Day envelopes are on the table today and at the back of the Church, if you gift aid please write your name or number on the envelope.
London Marathon – a Challenge!
It’s just 15 weeks away. Iestyn has some events planned. As Phil said last year – ‘… let’s all get behind Iestyn, who hopes to raise £2000+ for Macmillan Cancer Care’. The real training begins now!
Spare Ticket
Kath Couchman has a spare ticket for the WNO performance of ‘Hansel and Gretel’: Please let her know if you are interested.
Can YOU help?
We are looking for a volunteer to ‘manage’ the notice boards in the Church and the Hall. All that is required is to remove out of date posters and to pin up new ones which will be made available. If you can help please speak to Phil.
News for publication
During the next few weeks the news sheet will be compiled in the ‘Spanish Office’. Church Family News and other items of interest will only feature if the information is emailed to sec.sduc@gmail.com by 5pm Thursday. If you don’t have access to email pass a written copy to Colleen
