Church Family and Pastoral News
We include this in the newsheet to inform our prayers during the week.
1
- Stan Jones is very poorly having suffered a stroke. We keep his family in our prayers as they wait for news.
- Pray for those who are facing uncertainty in any aspect of their lives, and all who are there to support them.
- The two candidates who are preaching with a view with the 6 churches of the Cardiff & Penarth pastorate, for which Phil is Interim Moderator. Your prayers that God’s will might be clearly heard throughout this weekend would be appreciated.
- Those who are sharing their ministry with friends elsewhere: Ray at Castle Square this morning.
- Those who are preparing for exams and for all who encourage and support them.
- Pray for Mark in America who has been offered the job of Associate Professor at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. Remember him in your prayers as he prepares to take on this role which will enable him and his family to stay in America. This week has been especially difficult for him as, following a stroke his 95 year old Gran passed away in at Prince Charles Hospital earlier this week.
- Please remember all who are unable to worship with us, they would love to receive a visit or a phone call!
- Congratulations to Aisha who has been offered a contract as a company dancer with NDC Wales when she finishes her apprenticeship at the end this month. She’ll be performing with them at the Eisteddfod in August and then touring to Hong Kong, Spain and Japan before returning to Cardiff to tour Wales in November.
- Congratulations to Alison who completed her third 10K run (6.2 miles in old money!) last weekend in 1 hr 17 mins and 12 seconds, taking 42 seconds off her previous run time. Her next challenge is the Cardiff half marathon (13.1 miles) in October. Yes she is mad, and yes she will be asking for sponsorship!!
