Church Family News
We continue to keep David and Maralyn in our prayers. David is currently receiving treatment in the Heath.
We remember also Eloise Owen (Heather’s granddaughter) a member of Kid’s Club who has broken her arm which has resulted in the family holiday being cancelled.
This week is ‘A’ and A’s level results week and we think of those anxiously waiting for the outcome and for their parents and grandparents as they support them

‘An exploration of people, prejudice and protest’ –
“Let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.” Amos 5:24
As you all may know by now, October will see us host a month of exciting events, talks, screenings and concerts. By hosting the Paul Robeson exhibition and using it as a springboard to discuss and denounce all forms of prejudice and discrimination through our accompanying program of events we shall challenge injustice, celebrate the creativity of our community and remind everyone that they are extravagantly and unconditionally loved by God. We hope that this will be a month that all in the church will enjoy, appreciate and support – in ways large or small. To this, let me assure you that costs will be covered and worship will not be altered so those who will want a light touch involvement with the month can do – whilst hoping that people will make allowances for the additional ‘furniture’ that will be around the buildings during the month. For those who can spare the time to offer a couple of hours to welcome the community and offer a cuppa, the sign up sheet will be at the back of the church from this Sunday. Thanks for all your support with this – it should be a month to remember!
August Morning Communion
Due to the large numbers of guests coming to the double baptism next week, it has been suggested that August’s morning communion should take place the following week, on the morning of the 23rd. Your understanding is appreciated.
