6th January 2019
We welcome you all the first service of 2019 and Epiphany
On this day in 2002 we held our first service as a ‘new’ church, so we are 17 today! Celebrations will be held on January 20th! Details are in This Week…
We are delighted to welcome our ‘old’ friend Dave Kitchen who is leading our service this morning while Phil is at Castle Square.
Following St David’s Uniting tradition, tonight’s evening service will be a pies and poems, bites and ballads time together. Come along and bring a poem, hymn or anything else to share this evening…including nibbles!…as we celebrate this epiphany season together.
All are invited to share a time of informal fellowship over a cup of tea or coffee in the hall following the morning service, when handmade cards will be on sale.
The Copper Pot is, as usual, on the table; so don’t take your ‘small change’ home with you, put it in the pot, where it will be used for local charities.

Church Family and Pastoral News
People to hold in your thoughts and prayers:
- We remember those who are unwell especially Alma, Edith, John D and David M. and those in residential care and ALL who care for them.
- We think of those for whom 2018 was a difficult year and pray that this year will be better.
- Those of our fellowship or connected with it who are receiving treatment for cancer.
- As people return to work, school, and usual everyday activities we think of those who will be spending their days in a different way for a variety of reasons
- All who care for family members, may they have the strength to cope with the difficult times.
Thanks from Jean (and John.) I would like to say ‘Thank You’ to everyone for all the cards, messages and support we have received since John was taken ill, he is progressing slowly and is being well cared for. We send our good wishes to you all. Jean & John

Thought for this Day
The new year stands before us, like a chapter in a book, waiting to be written. We can help write that story by setting goals.” ― Melody Beattie, The Language of Letting Go.
