5th February 2023
We welcome everyone to our service today. If this is your first visit, we hope you will feel the warmth of our welcome and return again soon.
Our service today is being led by our good friend Dave Kitchen, and we pray that, through him and with him, we may be made aware of God’s message to us all.
Dave has a book launch later this month details are below!
We recognise the importance of getting to know one another so after our service we invite you to join us for a ‘cuppa’ in the hall where you will have a chance to chat and catch up with friends
Bible in Ten ~ Book Launch
Dave Kitchen and the Bible Reading Fellowship would like to invite you to the launch of Bible in Ten at Glenwood on Monday 20th February at 6.00 pm. (see the poster on the notice board)
Rob Parsons calls it “an exciting initiative.” Abby Guinness who heads up Spring Harvest, says it’s “fun, fresh, and full of interest. “The launch is a chance to hear the story behind the project plus a little bit of the book itself. There’ll be refreshments, good conversation, and smiles all round! You’re most welcome to browse but you can also buy – it’s £12.99. To help with the planning, it would be good if you could let Dave know if you’re coming along. [email protected]

We include this in the news sheet to inform our prayers. Please pray for:
- Cyril and the family: as they mourn for Janet. A Private service will be held at Glyntaf, followed by a Thanksgiving service for Janet’s life at Temple on Monday 20th at 12pm.
- Graham: still in pain and having more X-rays, and Anne as she cares for him.
- Viviane: As she plans for her sister’s birthday next weekend before returning home.
- Those in hospital: We continue to hold them in prayer and hope that any improvement continues.
- Elsie: her treatment at Velindre will start on Tuesday – we hope all goes well.
- Those we are aware of: As they struggle with age-related illnesses, may they feel better soon.
- Those who are in Residential care: May they be aware of the love of their Church family.
There are two birthday’s this week that we are aware of – Cyril is 95 TODAY (5th). We think of him as he reflects on 95 years! Lorraine Rees has her birthday on Friday 10th Enjoy ‘YOUR’ day Lorraine.
Cyril wishes to thank all those who have sent him cards and messages, he has been greatly comforted by the support people have shown to him following the death of his daughter Janet.

Thought for the week
The greatest revolution of our generation is the discovery that human beings,
by changing the inner attitudes of their minds, can change the outer aspects of their lives.
