We welcome everyone who joins today, the first Sunday in Advent as we remember Prisoners of Conscience and World Aids Day. If you are a visitor or worshipping with us for the first time you are especially welcome.
Our service this morning is being led by the Peace and Justice Group. Our Evening service, when we will welcome our friends from uniting churches in Canton and Taffs Well, will be led by our Minister.
Refreshments will be served after both services, and homemade cards will be on sale, please join us for this time of informal fellowship.
Before you leave, please remember the Copper pot, and put your spare coppers in it. They will be put to good use by local charities.

How are you and all the church family? We are ok and have lots of jobs to do during the Winter as we are not going to Spain. We will miss it very much but all being well we will go next year. Wednesday 3rd December Ladies Guild
Commemorating World War 1: Enid will share her memories and photos from a recent trip to France and Belgium. The meeting will be held as usual in the Victoria room and refreshments will be served.
Saturday 6th December Carols for Christmas
An evening of Christmas carols and songs with readers representing the local LGBT community will be held at City URC, Cardiff at 7pm.

Thursday 11th December Annual Christmas concert
The 32nd Annual Christmas concert of seasonal music and Carols in aid of CLIC / Sargent Caring for Children with Cancer, featuring:
Jane Watts – renowned Organist, the Brass ensemble of the Welsh Guards, the Combined Hospital Choir of 250 voices, The Prince of Wales’ Harpist – Hannah Stone, Conductor David J Davies and Llanfoist Fawr Primary School, Abergavenny
The concert will take place at St David’s Hall at 7.30pm.
Tickets £9 – £14 are available from St David’s Hall box office.
World Aids Day – December 1st
Red Ribbons are available today. Show your support by buying and wearing a ribbon as people worldwide unite in the fight against HIV.
We ask you to bring gifts for the Children and Teenagers supported by Homestart and/or items for the residents of the Mill Street Hostel. Our monetary gifts will support the work of Viva Wales and Freedom from Torture, gift envelopes are available; if you wish to gift aid please write your name on the envelope. We invite you to support as you are able. Please give your donations to Anne Hill.
PCW Mission Appeal
It is that time when we appeal to you once again to support the Annual appeal for funds toward mission and outreach work at home and overseas. Maralyn Tomlinson will gladly accept your donations

A Request from Kids Club
Do you have any old Christmas cards? We need some for activities at Church House – please give to Lynda.
The Greetings Card Board and the card sorter are in place. We suggest you write one generic card for the ‘church’ friends you see frequently and pin it on the board then give a donation to the charity of your choice. Please use the card sorter and don’t forget to check for ‘your’ mail.
