29 June 2014
We warmly welcome all who join us for worship today. If you are a visitor or worshipping with us for the first time you are especially welcome.
We are pleased that Rev Ray Vincent is leading our morning service, and we pray for us all a time of rich blessing, but also of challenge in our worship today.
Evening Worship, at 6pm, will be at Cowbridge United Free Church when we will join with friends from Canton and Llanedeyrn.
Fair-trade tea and coffee will be served after this morning’s service; and greetings cards will also be available.
As always the Copper pot is on the table at the back of the church waiting for your coppers, which will eventually benefit local charities

What’s coming up at URC General Assembly 3rd – 6th July
There are a series of resolutions about the kind of church we are, including the role of church meeting and the possibility of authorising ‘celebrant elders’ to preside at the sacraments.
There is a resolution urging the use of ‘inclusive and expansive language’ by worship leaders in order to widen our perception of God and another to raise awareness of the stigma of mental ill health.
A new way of funding ministerial training is proposed, which involves inviting financial contributions from synods and sending churches.
