We welcome you all to our services today, especially if you are a visitor or worshipping with us for the first time.
We have two ‘guest’ preachers today as Phil is at a New Ministers event and Fr Andrew Davies had to cancel. We are most grateful to our ‘guests who accepted the invitation to preach at short notice.
This morning our former Minister, Rev Simon Walkling is leading our worship and this evening we will welcome a ‘new’ face when Rev Charlotte Moss of Argoed Baptist Chapel will lead our worship at Church House, This service will include the celebration of the Lord’s Supper.
Fair-traded refreshments will be served in the hall following the morning service and hand made cards will be on sale.
Please remember the Copper Pot, and put your loose change in it before you leave.

Church Family News
We pray for David Tomlinson, who is in a great deal of pain and for Jan Bayliss who is recovering well. We remember those who are lonely and people we know who are waiting for treatment, as well as others who care for loved ones or are concerned for relatives who are ill.
We send our good wishes to Andrew and Irene Davies as they move into their new home this weekend.
For everyone who has followed Aisha’s progress through the year as she prepares to start her vocational dance training in Leeds, you may like to see her perform with National Youth Dance Wales on 27th August in Sherman Cymru. She has really appreciated everyone’s support and good wishes this year and would love to see you there.
Thanks
Jan Bayliss says ‘Thankyou everyone for the lovely flowers and the many cards, phone calls and visits that I have received in recent weeks. You have ALL been wonderful!
Thanks to all those who wished me well at last week’s graduation ceremony. Though hot, long and rather dull (!), the family had a good time and photos of me wearing a silly hat will soon be available to bring laughter to all! Phil

Opening for Prayer Pastors
I expect you’ve heard of the marvellous work that the Street Pastors do on the streets of Pontypridd on a Saturday night.
But have you heard about the way that they are supported in their work each week by the Prayer Pastors? Each Saturday night 2 or 3 people meet at our headquarters and pray for what’s going on on the streets. The SPs phone in with prayer requests – people’s problems, disturbances, more taxis needed – and they pray about it.
If you or someone that you know would like to see for yourselves how God answers prayer, come and join us for an evening.
