News from the Elders Meeting
After a discussion at elders’ regarding advent patterns and the possibility of rain stopping play, it was decided that the Christmas Carols service where we invite our premises users to join us will be held at St. David’s, 6pm, December 14th and our Christmas Carolling around the neighbourhood to be planned for the evening of 18th December, giving us a few extra days to play with if postponing proves necessary. The frequency and nature of church meetings was also considered and, taking into account the Constitution, we have decided to trial holding church meetings after the morning service twice a year, thus reducing the need to attend extra evening meetings in the cold, dark months. Our next church meeting will then be at St. David’s on Sunday February 8th 2015 and we can address the proposed pattern, including our suggested date for the AGM – 1st June 2015, then.

Thought for the Week
The time we have at our disposal every day is elastic; the passions that we feel expand it,
those that we inspire contract it; and habit fills up what remains.
